In the Your Ethernet Card Properties dialog box, on the General tab, under Device status, verify the status of the device.If This device is working properly. displays, click OK, and exit the Device Manager.If it does not display, continue to the next step.Image of the Properties dialog box, highlighting This device is working properly and the OK button
From the Driver tab, complete one of the following appropriate actions:

  • If the computer was just upgraded to Windows XP, click Update Driver to search for a newer version of the driver.
  • If a new driver was recently installed, click Roll Back Driver to revert to the previous driver.
  • If a new driver has not been installed or the computer upgraded to Windows XP, the driver may be corrupt. Click Uninstall to uninstall the driver. When the computer is restarted, the New Hardware Wizard will detect and reinstall the driver.
