How to remove “I am still waiting for the strawberry coming from my baguio! Pls…Help!”

In doing this procedure you should login as administrator of your PC.
1. Right Click My Computer then explore. Look for autorun.inf and Delete this.
2. Click Start - Run and type regedit. Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
3. Look for LegalNoticeCaption and delete the data “PROMISE???”
4. Look for LegalNoticeText and delete the data “I am still waiting for the strawberry coming from my baguio! Pls…Help!”
Then close regedit and restart your computer.
Note: Just remove the the value data. ok
Hope this helps to all of you who have this kind of virus.

Hi,
I saw that a lot of people having trouble with the strawberry virus and me too. I’m trying to do the steps you put out above but I can’t remove auorun.inf. If I delete it it comes automatically back. If I only delete the legal notice captions it all comes back when I restart my computer.
I hope you know a way because it drives me crazy, my computer gets really slow.

can you right click on the autorun.inf and then delete, and also try to look all your drives for autorun.inf.

it worked, rid myself of the strawberry virus… did it to other computers as well… i even changed some settings like:
Title: Warning!!! Security Breach!!!
Text: It was found that you are unauthorized to use this computer. Click shutdown or it will self-destruct by running a “del *.*” script in the main drive.
scared the hell out of my sibs…

about totally deleting this virus,
I have used a commercial version of KASPERSKY its so powerful,
Just look for a cracked commercial version over the net,
and your up.
I can delete all the latest, threats, even that lipa, smss.exe, svchosts.exe
etc.

First, if at logon you are experiencing a popup message with PROMISE???
then you can find it there, like I said and MR. RAXO said, remove the virus first and its autorun.inf on your local DRIVES, using a licensed AntiVirus product, or even those pirated (LOL) used/look for the latest ok.
It is not located on the NAME row at the REGEDIT, you can see the word PROMISE??? at the DATA row
